‘This car turned out wwwaaay better than I thought it would. Let's hope it can live up to it's looks in the race @mgilvey. Beautiful work Mr. Koons.‘
‘Whoo hoo! My father showed me photos he took from a trip he did to Watkins Glen in the 50's which got me interested in sports cars. I remember watching this movie while staying up past my bed time one night when I lived in Miami in the 70's. This film was responsible for getting me into photography, creating a board game, web sites and eventually going to the race in my 40's, twice as a press photographer. Up until Truth In 24 came out, this was the quintessential film I would recommend to people who know nothing about the race. I think people can relate a little better to TI24 solely because the technology is more current but that's not saying much because "Le Mans" is and always shall be the one that captures the heart and soul. twitter: @mgilvey Looking forward to having my friends over at my house in June for the full 24—The "Centre Du Media" will be in full force! Bon chance mais amis!‘
‘I've only been to Le Mans 3 times, last time in 2006 (working on a book). As a press photog in '99/2000. She is my mistress because of my infatuation.‘
About
I have a deep fondness for the 24 Heures Du Mans. You could say she is my mistress.
